Flexirent

Flexirent was first launched in 1993 for the finance of digital handset equipment. The product was developed further to create operating leases and fixed term commercial rentals and the marketing focus changed to computers.

In 1995 Harvey Norman trialled the Flexirent product in 3 of their Brisbane computer stores and 12 months later Harvey Norman rolled out Flexirent to all of their stores, nationally, convinced that Flexirenting was indeed the modern way to pay for computer technology. Flexirent remains the preferred rental and leasing finance provider for the Derni Group including Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne.

Until 2006 the core Flexirent offering remained for the most part unchanged, with the main focus being commercial and business customers benefiting from the tax deductible payments and the cash flow friendliness of renting their technology assets. With further expansion into the New Zealand market and adding a consumer lease in 1999 Flexirent continued to grow year after year.

In 2006, the Flexirent product took on a major facelift, transforming it from a predominately business customer driven rental product to a value added business and consumer product it is today with the adding of benefits such as equipment loaner and in built protection against theft, accidental loss and damage, providing not only financial freedom but peace of mind also.

Since early 2007 FlexiGroup’s growth has seen international expansion by launching Flexirent products into Ireland, to support Harvey Norman, and increasing market footprint with key national retailers including The Good Guys and Bing Lee.
